We have seen lots of awesome computer case mods. However, the one on display in Zotac’s booth at CES 2012 in Las Vegas was mind-blowing. The Hong Kong-based computer hardware builder displayed a two-phase liquid immersion PC in the South Hall of CES. The entire system of the super performing computer is placed into a non-conductive liquid bath.

Providing an incredible visual effect, the liquid inside the PC gets boiled at a very low temperature. The modder has removed the CPU and GPU coolers. The liquid inside the PC cools the entire system, however. Moreover, through a transparent glass covering, the flow of liquid can be seen from outside.
Zotac has developed the PC with high end components. It mounts a Zotac Z68ITX-A-E motherboard, which has an Intel Core i7-2600K processor and a Zotac GeForce GTX 560 Ti video card for brilliant performance. Both the CPU and video card are custom designed and they integrate a special substance that helps the boiling of the fluid inside the PC.
Vapor Phase is a cooling process that makes use of two phase liquid immersion. Two phase cooling is a system of turning a liquid into a gas to dissolve the heat. The gas is then re-distilled to get a liquid. Thus, the computer will work superbly with no temperature issues. Thanks to this advanced cooling system, processor of the Zotac computer runs at around 70C on all its cores even at full load. Remember, it doesn’t have a CPU HSF; but still no obstruction in performance. Watch the video below to see how the PC works.
