The speaker syncs to the phone via Bluetooth and can be powered via a USB ports plugged into your phone or into a wall socket when your iPhone is low on battery. The Black Diamond app allows users to use their Bluetooth speaker in Wake, Sleep, Music and Light modes. The Light menu allows users to display a number of light effects to illuminate a space in interesting ways. The Music menu allows users to interact with the speaker and customize song play and sound effects.

The Sleep menu helps users ensure continuous play of ambient music or a playlist to help ease the user into sound sleep. The Black diamond Bluetooth Speaker also comes with a Wake menu that allows users to use it as a handy alarm clock with a basic wake mode that simply churns like an alarm at a preset time. The more advanced Sunrise mode provides a more natural morning experience in which the speaker’s lights gradually turn on 30 minutes before the alarm time.
