How to fix the problem of xbox NAT strict?

I got this Halo game from my friend which is for xbox. I have an xbox 360 pro edition. But I am a kind of stuck now. The NAT button on my xbox is striked. I made several attempts to change it but failed miserably. I took a look at the xbox support but I was not able to figure out that way either. I even tried calling up the xbox support but they made me wait for half an hour in the queue and no response in the end. Please help with the xbox NAT strict.
