Worlds first ever head mounted 1080p display rolls out for sale

The grand Google glasses will be revealed some time in future, but before that, here we are with Silicon Micro Display’s new ST 1080 glasses. Although, there is no shortage of the wearable head mounted displays out there, but the new ST 1080 glasses are out of the league. These are the world’s first ever head mounted display, which offer indigenous 1080p unbelievable personal viewing experience .

It has a very light weight design that makes long term use comfortable.
The Full HD resolution LCoS microdisplay technology enables its user to watch both 2D and 3D video formats, whether if it is a playing console game, Blu-ray movie or working on the laptop. At the same time see-through technology with the default ten percent transparency also keeps you in touch with your surroundings whereas an additional add-on of zero percent transparency is also been availed.

Providing 24 bit stereo audio, the head mounted display has two separate 3.5mm mono earphone jacks and is connected using a cable to the controller unit that features HDMI Type A input, 3.5mm stereo audio output and HMD cable output. The seven-watt system can be powered from dual USB ports on your laptop or an external USB battery pack can be attached providing mobility. Priced at US$749 and weighing 180 grams, it has a very lightweight design that makes long-term use comfortable.
