The world today is entering into the increasingly competitive field of “telepresence robot”. It's calling in the universe of telepresence robots that utilize electromechanical proxies to allow one to be there without actually being there! Telepresence robots work as stand-ins for people who can operate them remotely. They can move out of the conference room, down the hall or onto the factory floor, anywhere their motorized wheels can take them. In fact, they can even tour a plant in China while the person controlling it follows along from their office in California. The tour guide could talk to the person on the other end and people can soon forget they‘re talking to a robot. There are various advantages of a telepresence robot. A telepresence robot enables a more interactive and productive meeting experience for people. Thus, the telepresence robots are a solution to many of the world's 'efficiency' problems.

Telepresence robots are surely making waves at the tech fair as France – a crossroad of trade, travel and invasion – is now creating some cutest telepresence robots. GOSTAI, a firm in France has created “JAZZ”. The JAZZ is actually a shiny white humanoid robot which when built could significantly transform business meetings by a long way. JAZZ could help in many ways, like deputizing for a manager in a business meeting. JAZZ could also help one in touring a factory or a shop floor, or for both recording and beaming back whatever the robot may see back to its user.
Telepresence has now become an important trick for remote workers thanks to the way our human minds work. We relate slightly differently to people when they’re physically present versus being present via phone and the moving, animated, video feed-sporting telepresence bots are about as close as we can get right now with the present technology to remotely projecting ourselves from a remote location.
EOS innovation, a company from France has now come up with an answer. The E-ONE is a remote monitoring, sophisticated small robot that is currently under experimental stage, but the prospects of this recent developing robot is huge. The robot is intended for patrols, alerting the owner when something suspicious happens within its patrol range. They can be used to assist the elderly, disabled and watching over children. They can also serve the telepresence purpose, with its face capable of displaying videos. They are relatively small when you compare them to other robots that do similar functions.
The E-ONE robot is a low weight bot of just 22 pounds, as it carries a battery which allows it to potter around for 4 hours at a stretch. It is Wi-Fi capable and can even use a USB to connect. The robot has the function of a sentry and has the ability to alert anyone about any possible changes in the surrounding environment.
The advancement in the field of robotics has reached new dimensions altogether with recent development, but a weakness still remains that they are creepy-looking drones but the good news is that now France has been creating the cutest telepresence robots and the robots even have a human face on them!
The French company's surveillance robot is actually quite similar to the E-ONE robot in some aspects as the weight and size. These inventions just makes us wonder if soon we’ll be able to shake a telepresence robot’s hand in a business situation and thus virtually give a helping hand to its operator for a better result by sitting at one place.
