Why are my windows server 2008 gadgets not working?

From my own experience with the window gadgets, I think there seems to be a problem with your user account. Also you should check about resistery issue and you should download resister access in real-time and get it done. Also you should be looking for some access denies entries and you can note down all those key names and fix the permission for them. If you have already done all this and your problem is still the same then you must visit Microsoft official website and download window gadgets from there. You will find hundred of lists there and can choose the one you like the most. Some of the most gadget which I also like the most are; Bing Picture of the Day, Twit Reviews, Weather Bug, All CPU Meter, Speed Test, Movie Trailer News etc. I am sure at least one solution will work for you so try both one.
