Musician and entrepreneur Will.i.am has launched a series of iPhone accessories that claim to make the smartphone more intuitive to use. The V.4 camera accessory boosts the iPhone’s 8 MP camera into a 14 megapixel beast though interchangeable lenses allow folks to customize their iPhone’s camera’s output as they like. The i.am+ foto.sosho range also comes with slide out keyboard that makes tagging and sharing photos easier for users.
The Black-Eyed Peas singer says that all it took was just the price of a couple of DJ gigs to develop the product over a year’s time. The singer has only recently launched the i.am+ app and consumer electronics venture and the foto.sosho range of accessories are among the first products to be developed under the new brand. According to Will.i.am himself, the clip-on accessory is designed to dramatically enhance the definition and clarity of the smartphone’s camera while the additional built-in flash makes shooting in low light conditions much easier for users. The singer has not yet announced whether the slide out keyboard will actually come laced with features that can enhance the functionality of other apps and functions on the phone or not.
Accessories in the range include a Bluetooth keyboard, macro, wide angle and fisheye lenses though the bulk-enhancing add-on may make your iPhone feel slightly more chunkier than Apple originally intended it to. The i.am+ foto.sosho range with built-in sharing, filters, photo editing, flash and interchangeable lenses will be available for the iPhone 4 starting December 6 though the iPhone 5 compatible variant will not begin shipping until next year. The i.am+ foto.sosho range starts at £199 and would be available exclusively through UK’s Selfridges chain of stores initially though additional retailers will offer the range in the due course of time.
