What is the difference between touch screen and multitouch screen ?

I have a few questions to ask. Can anyone here tell what the difference between touch screen and multitouch screen is? What are the products in market which are coming with multitouch screen? I recently heard about Samsung that it has come up with multi touch screen and has launched a smart phone named infuse. Is this true, if it is, please share the experience if anyone has used it, I also wanted to buy this Smartphone. Also I want to know about that can we make window seven to detect a multitouch computer screen.

In Single touch you will find basic touch functionality. In this, if you touch the screen you will feel that you are using a mouse as its touch is so smooth. But in Multi-touch the ability to use more than one finger to do even more things like 2 finger slides to "pinch" and "stretch" and other stuff.. The first popular multi-touch interfaces are apple products. Apple has a patent on multitouch and is trying to sue other companies for the technology. Whether you like apple or not multitouch is definitely an improvement in the user experience of a touch screen. There is lots of difference in functioning of single touch and multi touch. In multitouch the software’s are upgraded so it works faster and better than single touch. Now many phones comes with multi-touch technology and they are in demand as well as there speed of working is very high.
