Wearable and intelligent autographer camera makes capturing the everyday experience easier

If you are the philosophical types and want to capture the essence of the everyday life through the lens of a camera but find carefully captured shots too pretentious and concocted, then the ‘Autographer’ wearable smart camera is just what the doctor ordered for you. Developed by the Oxford Metrics Group aka OMG Life, the wearable camera is the first of its kind in the world and is designed to automatically capture thousands of images during the day without the photographer having to move a muscle. The London –based company is toting the hands-free digital camera as a new, smart image capturing device which is “intelligent” enough to determine the perfect combination of conditions to capture the perfect picture.

The Autographer comes fitted with five sensors on board that combine with the camera’s built-in GPS to gauge the changes in temperature, direction, motion, color and light and click photos automatically when the conditions are just right. Fitted with a custom wide-angle lens providing a 136 degree field of view, the 5 MP camera is programmed to identify the user’s location or change of speed to capture images.

Even though the device is definitely not something control freaks would want to own, it could be a great tool for people who like to capture spontaneous, unstaged photographs and put together uncanny and natural stop from videos from the images taken through the course of the day. The Autographer comes with 8GB of internal memory and also comes with a nifty smartphone app that allows users to download their shots into their smartphones as they images are being clicked and to keep their image files neatly organized for future tinkering and use.
