What should one do with water cool gpu mosfet?

I have 2 6800 ultras with the dangerden waterblock sli setup. The core and memory are cooled great, but now that there is a fan, the mosfets get so hot when I am playing that I can’t even touch them. Maybe that is why my psu fried. But anyways, all of you who have water cooling, do you have a supplemental fan on them to keep cool? Or are they strong enough to just stay hot? With the OEM heat sink, the air went across the mosfet sink. Please help.

From what I have heard, it is mostly for show. The temps can get pretty hot many times, but those components are just made to be get hot. The only reason I can see going is if you have a fan on your north bridge that is just too loud or if your ocd and have to have all your temps as low as possible.

First and foremost, why put your PC under water? (No, not literally).

the reason behind it is better temperatures, higher clocks, quieter running system, good looks, impress the ladies, if you are a lady, really impress the guys etc.

Whatever your motivation, you just have come to the right place and at the right time. You have to accomplish all for this and then some.

Before you jump into water cooling, it’s always best to just plan your water loop, from start point to finish point. By this, you have to ground up, starting with the most basic components.
