How much would verizon wireless charge for roaming in Canada?

Hi all, I am going to Canada next month and I have activated roaming as I am using verizon wireless. I want to know how much will I be charged in roaming for receiving calls and making calls. And also tell me if incoming messages would be charged. I am not able to make contact with verizon wireless customer care support. If someone has knowledge about roaming charges in version wireless in Canada, then please let me know.

The standard roaming charge of Verizon CDMA in Canada states for a call would be $0.69 per a minute and the same charges applies for the standard CDMA value plan. For text messages, the standard domestic text message charges would be charged, but still in Canada the text messages will be charged $0.50 for a text message sent and $0.05 for a text message received.

The Verizon instructs that you would need an international eligibility to make calls to countries if in a roaming period. And in some where there is no coverage places text message waiting service would not be available. But if you use a Global phone, the charges would be calculated based on the data used and $0.02 extra in roaming. While on roaming you should call the customer care at (800) 922-0204 to add I-Dial for activating the international calling feature. When in roaming region, please note that the coverage might be restricted for wireless phones. Stated by verizon there is much less coverage in the most northern regions of Canada where services might be limited. Please do refer the Verizon website for a brief map detailing the coverage sites in Canada.
