As you said that you want to turn off windows xp firewall group policy from your computer system so, fristly I want to tell you that first time in windows XP Service Pack 2 edition Microsoft corpration includes Microsoft Windows Firewall security system software, the updated firewall software that replaces Internet Connection Firewall. If Microsoft Windows Firewall is blocking a port that is used by a service or by a program, you can configure the Windows Firewall to create an exception.

So this is the little information about the program but if you want to off the Windows firewall then click on the windows logo in your computer system and then selsct the cantrol panel option and then security and then windows firewall. When you are clicking on the windows firewall icon its shows the option of blocking or unblocking. So with the help of this you can easily enable or disable the firewall on your computer system.

I guess my this information will help you.
