Seems like the Japanese cannot get the Transformers out of their head. After installing the giant Gundam robot in the heart of Tokyo it is the turn of VF-25F Messiah Valkyrie fighter, inspired from the famous anime, Macross Fontier. If you think it could actually transform from a fighter jet to a bipedal battle robot like Gundam we would say you went a little far as it is just a replica. It is displayed alongside a number of other animated characters in the 30th Anniversary Macross Super Dimension Exhibition, currently held in Tokyo.

You can actually see its two hands, which are also supposed to be its two wings with a beautiful Japanese girl standing on its left hand trying to buy the audience attention (in case they are not interested in the replica). The long nosed, single-seater, twin-engine aircraft resembles Russian Sukhoi in appearance. The popularity of the fighter plane can be gauged from the number of toys and model kits Bandai sells every year with the Messiah Valkyrie tag. Given to the limited space at the Tokyo venue only the nose and arms of the plane have been put on display. The complete replica is expected to be exhibited at Osaka in early June. Besides the Messiah the exhibition has put to display a large number of anime characters, which have been part of Macross series animes.
