what is stop 7F error message?


My computer is running on Intel Xeon processor and my computer rebooted itself several time before it displayed this error Stop 7F, 0x00000008 (double-fault) error occurs because of a single-bit error in the ESP register. I do not even know what this message means, Can someone please help me to reinstate it. thanks

I am a computer engineer and I will love to help you on this. This error message may be displayed when the single-bit error occurs in ESP register of the processor that is running on a computer.

Causes of this error: Require the microcode update that is not applied by computer's basic input/output system (BIOS), It is damaged or defective or operating outside the specified ranges for the temperature, power, or the other conditions.

Resolution:

1 Download the Intel Processor Frequency and ID Utility.

2 Install and run the Intel Processor Frequency ID Utility.

3 Write down following CPU information for the each processors:

CPU Family, CPU Model, CPU Stepping, CPU Revision.

The CPU Family, CPU Model, and the CPU Stepping values identify a specific type of processor. The CPU Revision value identifies a revision of the microcode update that is applied to them.
