Is source engine 2 good enough for Valve?

Valve is my favorite gaming company but with source engine I don’t think it provide the best of the graphics in terms of realism from many other engines. If we look at IW engine of COD Black ops and Frostbite of Battlefield you will definitely feel the difference. Now what is your opinion about the source engine of Valve? Do you think that Portal 2 or Source Engine 2 is going to make any difference in terms of graphics and other factors? Also does this factor effect the popularity of Valve?

This is so amazing. Valve is my favorite gaming company too. The best games that I always like to play are Half Life and Half Life 2. It is true that the current source engine that Valve uses doesn’t support good graphics in terms of realism. With Source Engine 2, the graphics turn out to seem so real.

Well, now since Valve has declared that there will be no source engine 2 for Valve, the discussion is over. Instead, Gabe Newell is planning to continually modernize the technology and this would prove to be a sensible decision. I personally would suggest Source Engine 2 for all the games of Valve. This would help to revive all the games that Valve is supporting, especially Half Life.

There has also been a rumor with regards to the E3 using Source Engine2. There has been a video out on the internet previewing Half Life E3 using the Source Engine 2. Gabe Newell, by not attending the event of E3 has proved his point. If you happen to see the video, then you would understand how good Source Engine 2 for Valve is. So if you are asking me, “Is source engine 2 good enough for Valve?” , then I would say "yes."
