Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro

Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro is another Android smartphone with great usability, snappy performance and a well-designed user interface. The slide-out QWERTY keyboard is pretty usable and this small touchscreen Android smartphone is amazing. The OS has the same orderly tweaks but the small screen space looks more efficient and the design is pretty much the same. It is running on Android 1.6 which is behind the times. But the company said that it will release the Android 2.1 update in next quarter.

Performance

The camera performance of this phone is pretty similar to X10 mini.  In terms of connectivity the X10 mini pro is loaded with HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. There is no multi-touch for zooming and moving around web pages can be a bit sluggish. The battery life is short, sitting somewhere between 3.5 and 4 hours of talk time and you need to charge it almost every night.

Features

The X10 mini pro has 2.55-inch capacitive touchscreen which has excellent sensitivity and decent clarity. The QVGA resolution is sufficient but mini pro doesn't support multi-touch. This device is paked with 5-megapixel camera and offers many modes like Auto, macro, twilight and sports. Video recording is capped at 30fps with 640 x 480 resolutions. It has a highly intuitive UI and large number of home screens.

Bottomline

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro is a pretty good option if you are not looking for that big screen phones. It has a slide-out keyboard but there are some shortcomings owing to its compact size. Some people also feel that this tiny phone has unique features that take it ahead from the rest in the competition.
