Solar Keyboard Folio for iPad unveiled by Logitech

Logitech has a slew of solar powered gadgets lined up and the latest to join its collection is the Solar Keyboard Folio. This sleek and ultra thin contraption is actually a Bluetooth keyboard for iPad and iPad 2. The gizmo looks cool and also serves as a protective shield on the front as well as the back. The $130 priced keyboard has not hit the market yet but you can either preorder it or wait for its approaching release date.

However, it is always better to know about the features of any gadget before you buy it. So, solar cells have been slotted in this piece which can soak up light waves and charge the gadget. Once the cells are fully charged, they can power up your gadgets for as long as two years providing energy for two hours every day. Moreover, the piece comes with its own lighting system. There is a low illumination and also a lamp light.

Using the piece while you are working will be real easy. The solar powered type pad can be oriented in two positions. You can easily use the entire keyboard in the first position. While, in the second position, everything except the first row stays covered. The piece has a magnetized panel so your iPad will start automatically when you open it and shut down on its own when you close it.

Apart from work, you can also use the gizmo when you are lounging around. Its one-touch media playback has easy controls. Activating play and pause is a cinch and volume controls can also be handled easily. The multiview stand adjusts its angle while you are glued to the screen, whether you are watching videos or surfing the web.
