What is the value for smtp port hotmail?

What should I do to use hotmail on my computer as an email program? We are supposed to enter the pop3 and SMTP port hotmail. I don't know what should be entered there? Please help me out configuring it.

Yes, but for some webmail like Hotmail may prefer to use the Webmail extension and configure it as explained in Article Set up a webmail account.
Yahoo and Gmail allows POP access in a while. You can find detailed instructions in their own webmail access, or if you prefer in the FAQ SeaMonkey (the instructions are for Thunderbird).
From the January 14, 2009 depending on the country, you can access your Hotmail account using standard protocols (POP, SMTP). The configuration according to the news of Windows Live, is:
Username: full email address (eg tunombredeusuario@hotmail.com).
Password: your Windows Live ID of your.
POP3 server: pop3.live.com.
It is necessary, in the "Security Settings", check the SSL option (which will change the port to 995). However, uncheck the box "Use secure identification" (BondZilla contribution).
SMTP server: smtp.live.com.
The official, who did not seem to work correctly, says that it is necessary, "Security and Identification", check "Use name and password" and check the SSL option. However, according to information in the document referenced above, you must ensure that TCP port number used is 25 (you can see that information at the top of the configuration window SeaMonkey SMTP server).
If the above configuration does not work for sending messages via SMTP, as indicated by various people, try to confgurar SMTP server as it did to BondZilla if it works:
SMTP server: smtp.live.com.
Port: 587.
Security and identification:
Check "Use name and password."
Username: full email address (eg tunombredeusuario@hotmail.com).
Be sure to uncheck "Use secure identification."
Mark the "STARTTLS".
How do I configure an additional SMTP server?
Open Thunderbird and follow these steps:

Go into Edit → Account Settings ...
Select Outgoing Server in the list on the left.
In the right pane choose Add ...
Choose a description (for example, "SMTP server for my own work").
In the Server field, type the name of your outgoing mail server (SMTP) appropriate. This data will facilitate the service provider of your email account.
If the service provider says that the SMTP server requires authentication, check "Use name and password" and enter the name of the user.
If you want to use SSL, change the value Use secure connection "SSL". The port will automatically change to 465. If instead of SSL, your server configuration requires or permits TLS, check "TLS" or "TLS, if available", respectively.
