Why my small Sony gaming laptop is not detecting its graphics card?

Till last week it was working just swiftly. But from last week it is not detecting NVIDEA Geforce graphics card. Every time I am trying to play a game an error message just pop up please check your graphics properties. When I check for the graphics properties, no graphics card found. I had reinstalled the graphics card driver but the problem is same. I had checked my system properties but no available graphics card found. SO I want to ask from you people, what should I do now to fix this problem?

I think that you should check for the display settings. Right click on the desktop and then choose the properties or the personalize, depending on the version of Windows. Select the display settings or the settings to just view your graphics card information. If you even do not see your desired information, choose your adapter or the advanced settings option and then see if it's listed there. Use your directX Diagnostic tool to just find your card chipset. In the Vista, click on the start button, type the dxdiag in the Search field and then press the enter button. Click on the display tab in the dialog box.Your video card and the chipset will then be displayed here.
