Why is my small acer laptop overheating?

I have not got any clue about this but my acer laptop overheats quickly. Whenever I use my acer laptop for more than just an hour it gets overheated. I do not play any video game on it but it still gets overheated in an hour. I have plugged in and plugged out the battery several times to fix the problem, but nothing seems to be happening. So I want to ask this from you people, how can I fix this problem?

Generally, all laptops heat up to a certain extent due to the processor that is inside the laptop. To avoid over heating of the laptop, make sure that you keep it on a hard flat surface which can provide some amount of heat to dissipate by means of ventilation. Acer laptops have powerful processors that begin to heat up when in use. This does not have any effect on the performance of the laptop in any way. It is advisable not to keep laptops on your laps for a long time. One more thing to keep in mind is to regularly check whether any vents on the outside case are not blocked by dust. Keeping it on the pillow or the bed may not be a very wise thing to do. However, if for any reason you feel that your Acer laptop is getting over heated, then you can immediately bring it to the notice of the customer care center of Acer to rule out any manufacturing defects. If you are well within the warranty period, then you may be entitled for free service or replacement of the defective parts.Otherwise, the overheating of your Acer laptop may not be as alarming as you had earlier thought.
