How to setup Windows 7 with Windows XP printer?

My laptop is running on Windows 7 operating system while my PC has Windows XP as its Operating system. I have a Cannon MX 300 as my all in one printer and it is connected to my Desktop that runs on Windows 7. I have some important files in my laptop which needs to be printed. Now here is the problem that I am facing. Can you help me whether how do I make a setup so that a system with Windows 7 can print with Windows XP printer? How do I make it so that I can print wireless with my laptop?

If you encounter problems installing a printer, or if you added a printer but can not use it, you may need to install or upgrade the printer driver to be compatible with the version of Windows running.

Some drivers are distributed with Windows, are available through Windows Update or saved on your computer during the installation of hardware and are ready for installation. In other cases, you must install the drivers using a CD or DVD supplied by the manufacturer of the printer. To install these drivers, follow the steps to use the Printers folder. If the driver you need is no longer stored on your computer or if you have a CD or DVD, try looking at the website of the printer manufacturer to see if you can download and install from there.

Hi all! Then I show how to share files with a desktop computer (W. Vista) and laptop (W. XP) without the need for password or anything we ask:

1.From "Computer" or "My Computer" properties and to change the name of work so that is the same on both computers, making it easier for you both are in the network.

2.Enter Start / Settings / Control Panel / Network and Sharing center shared. We will have him as follows:
 I have a private network
 network discovery enabled
 File Sharing enabled
Comaprtido use the public access folder  activated
Printer sharing  depends on if you want to activate it or not, I have none.
Sharing with password protection  Off
Using multimedia comaprtido  Off

3.In the folder you want to share to click the right mouse button and enter properties.
- On the General tab leave everything as is
- On the Sharing tab:
Click on "sharing" and in the table we give out the arrow and select "everyone" and give "Add". In level I have set co-owner permission. Then give "share."
Further down the window again to share the tab press "advanced sharing" and mark the box "share this folder" and accept.
On the Security tab, click on edit and add "Everyone" and give all the permissions you want, apply and close.
After all this is now ready to share our portfolio. I hope you have been helpful.
