How to setup a secure FTP server?

I want to set up a potent open source FTP server with lots of features that my company would find helpful. It should support SSL/TLS connections, per user speed limit and various user groups. So give me a complete guide to set up a secure FTP server for myself.

FTP stand for File Transfer Protocol. It is used for transferring of file from one system to other in a network. It needs to install FTP Server to access it's services. It is the old protocol but is followed till now because of it's flexibility and security. It can work only in network o share files from one system to other.

Steps to follow to set up FTP Server:

1) Download and install Serv U-FTP. Before installing you need to check and confirm your settings.

2) Next is Completing setup and creating user login

3) You have to assign proper rights to drives which you have.

4) You should be sure that you have outside access to access your FTP Server

5) This step involves testing it.

6) Keep it secure.

While installing you can set installation folder or can set default path. Click on 'Next' when ever you come across it. Select 'i agree' and proceed further for completing your installation. After this you will be provided with a license for 25 days.

Create user login and for security purpose select Enable SS/TSL. Make your FTP Server accessible from the internet.

All you need to follow and implement above steps are:

1) An OS of windows version

2) Cable or wireless internet connection.
