How can I resize search bar autosizer?

I have a problem with search bar autosizer as it is not working the way it should be. I am using its latest version but it’s not allowing me to change size of its search panel. I have tried making changes to its default size and saved its settings but after typing in its search box, it comes back to its previous size. I have reinstalled it many times but it’s not working. I do not know whether I am making the changes the way it should be. Please guide me.

Search bar Autosizer automatically resizes the search bar in Firefox based of all versions. You said that you are facing problem in changing the size of the search bar. When you are searching for longer keywords, the actual size of the Firefox browser's search field is not enough. By customizing the toolbar you can easily increase the size of the search bar but this will take lot of space in your tool bar. So, It is good to increase the field size dynamically only when required. This can be solved by using a simple Firefox Add on called Searchbar Autosizer and it supports almost all Firefox Themes and many search bar add-ons.

For configuring, go to ‘Tools > Add-ons’, then select the ‘Searchbar Autosizer’ entry in the list and click on ‘Options’. Then, select the ‘Customize step-by-step for every letter’ option and click ‘Next’. Specify the minimum width in the next step. For that, drag the search field marked with brackets to the desired size and check the value in the wizard. Then, click ‘Next’ and repeat the process for the maximum width.

You will get some additional options in the next step, which you can activate by your choice and if needed you can reset the search machine to the old familiar standard automatically. Once done, click the ‘Finish’ button.
