Scanbox-A foldable scanner that digitizes full-size documents

Scanning documents and pictures is not an alien thing. But, what irritates people most is the amount of space a scanner occupies even when it is not being used. Killing all such frustrations are designers Ben Hillier, Phil Bosua and Luke Allen have come up with a portable scanner that has been named the Scanbox. The small sized scanner won’t consume precious space and will make good use of a smartphone to scan documents and pictures.

This easy to use scanner can be folded when not in use. It can be easily setup (because of the presence of magnetic buttons) and snapped apart in a few seconds. It has been fashioned out of laminated card of very high quality and works well with almost all smartphones that have a back facing camera. The scans made by this small but powerful tool will be of high quality. The scanner will fit well in almost all kinds of situations and can be even packed in a bag or a brief case when traveling.

Scanbox can be used for a variety of purposes, which will make you addicted to it. You can use it to digitize your receipts, scan 3D objects, scan book pages and can also be optimized for face recognition while scanning photos. Apart from this, it will swap your smartphone into a photocopier and can also be used as a live projector while giving presentations. There is also a plus version that comes complete with LED lights, which is covered by an additional back section for better scans. The portable Scanbox will give a buyer the flexibility to pick it from six funky colors (pink, green, red, blue, orange and black). It comes stashed with a price tag of $15, which pushes it in the affordable range, and promises to scan everything with all the clarity intact.
