Samsung Smart TVs receive Amazon Instant Video streaming app

Internet video fans find it bugging to have to manually download movies from the internet then transferring them to a storage device and using that to play a movie on their big, flat screen TV. They also find their movie experience being ruined by the fact that the laptop/tablet they connected to their TV to watch a movie makes it harder for them to focus on their movie.

We guess researchers at Samsung found the same problem pretty annoying themselves which is why they decided to bestow their latest generation of Smart TVs with a new Amazon Instant Video app that can be used to stream TV shows, music videos, clips and movies over the internet right on their flat screen televisions. Even though the same functionality can be achieved from other options in the market like Vudu, Netflix, Hulu Plus and Blockbuster, there aren’t any applications in the market that combine video streaming over the internet with the huge database of videos and movies that Amazon has.

Samsung has not announced any bundled packages or introductory offers to go with the launch though the company has stated that the new range of Smart TVs would allow users better functionality with a redesigned user interface that offers quicker access to captioning, recommendations, queuing etc.
