Samsung to release 55-inch Super OLED TV later this year

It will no more be an exaggeration to state that CES 2012 has been a TV-centric event. Top products that protruded in the Las Vegas’ premier tech show were TV sets of various kinds. Well, we witnessed the launch of a set of high quality OLED TVs from companies like Samsung. The South Korean display major rolled out a 55-inch Super OLED TV at CES in reply to its rival LG’s much-hyped 55-inch OLED display, one of the best products at CES.

The OLED display from Samsung highlights eye-popping image clarity. The quality of OLED technology makes displays superbly fantastic. Super fast response times, ultra-thin form factor and great viewing angles add to the hallmark features of the Samsung’s large OLED TV, which will appear in stores later this year.

Samsung has manufactured its OLED display TV from a single pane of glass. The TV is powered by a dual core processor to help the device run multiple apps and open pages on the tabbed web browser. Besides the traditional remote control, the display comes with voice controls. Two unidirectional microphones and background noise cancellation technology help users activate the search function in the pre-installed web browser and request the TV what to search for on the web.

The Samsung TV also comes with face recognition and motion control technologies. Video chatting and video streaming can be enjoyed with maximum perfection on the TV. Samsung is to bring out the Super OLED TV later this year for an undisclosed price tag.
