How do I run Telnet on CMD?

For some strange reasons I am not able to get Telnet to work on CMD. It’s been four continuous days that I have been trying to get it worked but I am still not able to get Telnet to work. I even tried about four different types of Syntax but still I am not able to get this damn thing working. I even tried to of running CMD as admin, still no help. Any ideas what is still left that can make it work? Am I missing something?

As illustrated above an attempt had been made to run it as administrator, it seems that system is running Vista or higher version of windows. However, the solution for the problem running telnet on the different windows versions, requires different steps to follow. For windows XP By typing cmd in run command and wait for the black window to appear. Once it come then type telnet and machine address. As mentioned that it was working before, the question arises that if any hardware and software changes have been made to system.

Window 7 and vista include approximately same steps; these functions are not enabled by default in the operating system. However, the option can be enabled by control panel, the steps for opening Telnet on CMD are

1:> go to search bar by typing control panel in the “search program and files”

2:> on the left hand top corner “Turn windows features on or off” option.

3:> By clicking on this option the list of all windows feature appears.

4:> you need to make sure that the Telnet client and telnet server are checked.

Once done this process, you need to type telnet on the “search program and files”

And bingo you have telnet window.

For any reason the telnet had been disabled can be reinstalled by above mentioned steps.
