Google is rumored to be working on an exclusive wireless home entertainment system based on its Android platform. The system is apparently meant for streaming music from Google Music throughout the house via Google-branded speakers. Once realized, it will be the first ‘consumer electronics’ product from Google, which, until now, has been focusing only on software development.

The projected wireless music system will mark a new chapter in Google’s history. The Mountain View will be developing an ecosystem for its own branded software and hardware. The system will contain Google-branded speakers and Wi-Fi connected devices to stream music throughout the house, sources with reliable information claim.
In a sense, the proposed Google wireless music system may resemble Sonos and Apple’s AirPlay wireless system. Apple launched the feature for its iPhone, iPod touch and iPad to stream iTunes contents to Apple TV and other third party stereo systems. Apple’s non-AirPlay devices can also stream audio in the same fashion through the company’s famous AirPort Express base station
Indeed, Google will be figuring out its home entertainment system in a way that it can be remote-controlled by either an Android phone or tablet. The company can utilize the enormous distribution of its Android products for this music system, which is expected to exceed just beyond the audio output. Maybe, the upcoming Google home entertainment system will also support video output.
Several reliable tech sources have exposed chances of the possible arrival of the product this year itself. Indeed, tech geeks are looking forward for the first own branded product from Google.
