using rss for wall street journal latest stories?

I want to keep an eye on wall street journal latest developments. My friend told me that RSS allows you to view regularly updated headlines from the Journal sites and also the headlines from other news publications, in one place but do not know how rss will work for me. So guys tell me how rss will help me in tracking all the wsj stories?

Yes, RSS feeds will allow you to stay in touch with news published in online Wall Street Journal. For accessing RSS feeds, you can download any of the available software programs. These can include NewsCrawler, FeedDemon, and FeedReader.

To make things easier, I will explain how you can subscribe to RSS feed of Wall Street Journal by using FeedDemon.

  1. Download FeedDemon. Install and run it.
  2. Check the 'subsribe' option and click it. Select the option'new subscription'.
  3. A pop up will be available. Now click at the 'next' option.
  4. Now copy and paste URL of the site from where you want to receive feeds. In this case, it would be http://online.wsj.com/public/page/news-global-world.html?mod=WSJ_topnav_world_main.
  5. Click at the 'next'option.
  6. FeedDemon would ask you whether you want to receive the feed in an already existing folder. In case, you do not want to receive feed in an old folder, simply create a new folder.
  7. Congrats! You have successfully subscribed to the RSS feed of Wall Street Journal.
  8. Now you will receive alerts every time an article is published in Wall Street Journal (or any other publication). Enjoy!

I would like to add here that FeedDemon comes with Podcasts (short audio clips) option. This feature allows it to download audio files on its own and incorporate them in iPod or any other media device.
