How do I restore my windows vista with the clock gadget?

I have desktop at home and I accidently deleted the Desktop Clock Gadget which came with Windows vista 64-bit. My recycle bin is emptied from a very long time. I've gone to the 'gadget' website but each item including the clock generates a warning when I click 'download', it says the item is a third-party product and couldn’t download. Therefore, I'm a bit scared to carry on with the download. Is there a way to resort the desktop clock that came with Windows vista? I'm using an OEM version and do not have the original disk. Please help.

Itsfew days back when my windows vista clock is stopped restoring it was quitesaddened as you are right now. According to your difficulty my difficulty isquite similar and it’s for the whole gadgets for the windows. You might behaving the same problem that I've just solved. In my case I found that not onlywere some gadgets are not working but that the links to get more gadgets onlineare also dead. Try the following: Press the start/windows button - selectDefault Programs- select Start Default Programs -select Internet Explorer -choose Set This Program as Default. In my case everything started workingnormally. A note of concern if you are running Firefox I'm not so sure you mayneed to temporally uninstall that first. I hope you will be satisfied with thesolution because when I tried it, and I find out that it’s the best solutionfor this kind of problem. And since I have tried it my windows vista clock gadgetsare working quite well without any problem.
