Can anyone run system restore from command line only in safe mode?

Hi all, I wanted to know that can I run system restore from command line only in safe mode? If yes than anyone know the list of options? My computer has a virus which is every time stopping me from running system restore normally and I know the restore point I want to use is clean. I have tried running system restore in normal safe mode but still the same fate. I get to the final screen, I press next and nothing happens. No matter how long I wait nothing happens. I can choose the restore point but I cannot get it to reconfigured. Can some one help me out to fix it?

This article also describes how to use System Restore to return your computer to a previous state. System Restore takes "snapshots" of critical system files and some program files and stores this information as restore points. If the computer is notworking properly, you can use these restore points to returnWindows XP to a previous state when the computer was functioning correctly. You can also change the scripts, batch files and other types of executable files on your computer.

This article is intended for beginner, intermediate standard.

Note: System Restore does not affect personal files, such asemail, documents or photos. You can only restore files youdeleted if you have backed up those files.
