Problem with windows 7 set restore point?

I am really messed up with my system restore points in Windows 7. I created restore points, but when I shut down my PC, they were gone. This is not happening with some specific restore points only, but it’s with all restore points. So I looked for it on Internet and followed all suggestions but nothing was helpful. Can I get any help from your side?

Try these steps: 1) Type services in search box and then hit enter. Be sure the volume shadow copy service is running and is set on automatic. If the status of system restore service is not started, start it and set it on automatic. A reboot may be required. Reconfirm again. 2) Now type eventvwr.msc /s in search box and hit enter to open the event viewer. Double-click on applications and services logs and see if you are able to evaluate the event description or the cause of problem. 3) Now reset the repository and boot into safe mode without networking and open a command prompt as administrator. Type net stop winmgmt and hit enter. It will stop the Windows management instrumentation service. Next go to C:WindowsSystem32wbem and rename the repository folder to repository old. Restart. Now again open a command prompt as administrator and then type net stop winmgmt and hit enter. Next type winmgmt /resetRepository and hit enter. Restart. Now you can try if you can create a system restore point manually. Good luck.
