How to prevent website hacks?

Hi techies. Sometime back I started my own website so as to promote and enrich my business. But then I had to observe it going out of my hands just because of some freak hacker hacking it and manipulating it as per his wish. I don't know what such people yield of such practices. I need to prevent all this in future. I have now started working upon a second website which I have to prevent from any website hacks. I need to know how I can do that. Should I hire a professional hacker to make this sure that my website is not hacked by someone this time?

Yes we know that our servers and websites are vulnerable to hacks and other similar stuff if we do not make it fully secure. We can avoid that, if take some amount of precaution but it’s worth understanding a few basics about the different kinds of hacks, their purpose and how they can affect you. So first of all keep your software up to date, if you aren’t running the latest version you are likely to have missed a few security fixes. Then you need to secure your password, do not use dictionary words, no family names and no easily guess-able information either. You need to check your logs regularly and keep records of IPs accessing your website and the most important do not put all your eggs in one basket and maintain backup also……….this will definitely help you.
