How to perform bare metal linux restore?

I want to prevent my computer from any disastrous failure. I want to make bare metal recovery so tell me the step by step process to back up a Linux computer to be able to make a bare metal recovery as it reduces the transparency that system administrator requires to organize and manage servers. So tell me how to do it?

Bare-metal restore is a technique of data recovery and restoration where the backed up data allows one to restore a computer system from "bare metal", that is without any requirements as to previously installed software or OS.

I use Clonezilla software but you can choose any good software from online reviews.we need two different optical drives one is CD-RW and another DVD-ROM.

a.Needed material:

1. A new target disk

2. A Clonezilla Live CD that you can download and burn from clonezilla.net version

3. A GParted LiveCD that you can download and burn from here: gparted.com version 0.3.4

4. The blank CDs and one blank DVD-R

5. Some form of large capacity removable storage. I have used a common USB2.0 mounted 3.5" hard disk, an external USB2.0 disk enclosure and it was partitioned and formatted in FAT32 for optimum cross-compatibility.

b.Backup

1. Plug in USB2.0 disk .
2. Turn on the Clonezilla Live CD to boot your system. Once the initial GUI appears run the default Clonezilla Live option with frame buffer. Choose your language and continue with the boot-up procedure until it finally reaches the command line prompt in text mode.
3. Having figured out how the two disks (the internal source disk to be backed-up and the external USB2.0 disk that will store the image) are recognized you must mount the USB2.0 disk.
5. Start the backup program by issuing "ocs-sr -x"
6. Choose language and "savedisk" to save the entire source disk.

7. Remember in the options that follow UNCHECK the one marked " Use ntfsclone to save NTFS partition instead of part image".

8. I chose bzip2 that produces the smallest image.

9. After completing the backup, I burned it on a single DVD-R . If the image is bigger than the possible capacity of one DVD. You can use another application to span it across many optical disks for storage. Just remember it is not possible to restore from span media.

11. Backup is complete and the entire image is contained in DVD-R.

c.Restore

1. Use the Clonezilla Live CD to boot from the CD-RW. Once the initial GUI appears run Clonezilla Live option . Choose language and continue with the boot-up.
2.
Place the backup image DVD in the DVD-ROM
4. Start the backup program by issuing "ocs-sr -x"
5. Choose language and "restore disk" to restore the entire source disk .
6. Choose the image directory name and proceed to restore
