I was earlier using window based desktop and know how to open a terminal window in windows xp but now I have bought macbook air and finding it difficult to do the same in iOS. Terminal window is a text-only window in a graphical user interface (GUI) that imitates a console. So tell me how I can open terminal window in my mac air?

Apple computers runs the Mac Operating system , which is a type of UNIX system. While the most users interact with their Mac only through your Graphical User Interface, it is very much possible to use an included application which is called Terminal to just access the command line. The Apple website warns that those who are not at all familiar with the UNIX-style environments they should be cautious when using Terminal. Incorrect commands or the improper alterations of the command line can even result in severe computer problems. So this a simple question and it's answer is also very simple.Open your Go menu in the Finder section and then select the Utilities.Double click on your Terminal icon. A new terminal window will get open on the screen.Enter your commands by just typing in the open window. Close your window by just clicking the red button in the upper right corner.Open your shell menu at the top of your screen, select the New Window option and the Basic to open one new Terminal window, if it is desired.
