The Nokia E5 is one of the Nokia’s E-series products. The E and 5 in the name of device represents the following: E- Represents productivity and business, 5- the number 5 (on a scale of 1 to 10) represents the cost of the E5 i.e. its price is middling and pocket friendly. It comes in 5 different colors and has a physical QWERTY keypad. A very light phone made of plastic with sharp edges has looks very beautiful and solid, the only piece of metal which can be seen in the phone is on the battery cover. There is a 5MP camera at the rear, no camera is provided in the front. With this phone you can check your e-mails faster and simply surf the Web a little and take some photos.
The phone has no problem performing multi-tasks at once because of its good processor.
In-call quality is extremely clear.
Volume is audible and there is no background interference.
The device has 7.5 hours of talk time and 625 hours of standby time.
The weight of E5 is 126g with battery included, which is very light weight and very easy to carry, its body is made of hard plastic, the edges are smooth and the looks are as of an expensive phone with solid built. It features a QWERTY keyboard, flashlight, and a camera at the back, E5 has just two shortcut keys which are for Home and Messaging. E5 runs S60 3rd Edition software with Feature Pack 2 and has an 18-bit screen color depth, doesn’t possess an onboard accelerometer. The camera has a focus range of 50cm to infinity. It comes with Wi-Fi, SDPA, GPS and Bluetooth. The display is 320x240 pixel which is not suitable for good web surfing. The additional apps which you would like to install are available for the Operating System which is Symbian S60.E5 supports a processor of 600MHz and 256MB RAM, 1200mAh battery provides a talktime of 18.5 hours on GSM and standby of up to 29 days. A 2.4 inch screen is a little small to provide a good look.
Nokia E7 is a low budget phone and is easily affordable, but for a Symbian enthusiastic the phone is a disappointment. Applications work very well on the device, and multiple apps can be worked upon simultaneously.
