Rumors over the new iPhone 5 continue to pour in. The entire Apple fans are of the belief that the company will change the form factor of its iPhone series with the latest version. A new rumor, initiated by iLounge, says that the new iPhone will be slightly taller with a big 4-inch display. Apple is to finally leave the current 3.5-inch form factor for its iPhone 5 so as to make it competitive in the congested smartphone market.

The new iPhone will have a fresh display, new aspect ratio and certainly new dimensions. It will likely be around 10mm taller, thus offering it the dimensions of 125mm, 5.8mm wide and 7.4mm thick. In short, it will be 2mm thinner than the current iPhone 4S. A redesigned dock connector, a new metal panel on the rear side and many other features will make the iPhone 5 a highly rich product, iLounge says.
Well, many analysts think that the new iPhone 5 will have a high resolution Retina Display similar to the new iPad. Apple has slotted in a high res display on the latest version of its flagship tablet PC. Anyway, new rumors sum up that the much-awaited new iPhone will create some waves in tech market, which already has lots of high-end Android phones.
Hopefully, iPhone 5 will come to light at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2012. Most rumor mills corroborate on the speculation that the next iPhone will be uncovered at the WWDC. Apple may not extend its release date until late this year as it was with the iPhone 4S last year. Anyway, everything is up to Apple, which has a very strict policy over the new product releases.
