We all fancy ourselves a bit as photographers and with smartphones putting a camera in everyone’s hands and descent ones that too, it seems like everyone knows a thing or two about photography. There have been several occasions when I did try to capture a few snapshots of lightning with my ordinary camera, and one of them almost worked (I like to keep telling myself that after I spent plenty of time looking at the sky like a fool), but you do need something more than just good luck and a descent camera for that. And technology is willing to help you in that regard with the new Nero Multi Trigger.

The Nero Multi Trigger is the smallest trigger in the market today and it comes with a host of features that allows you to capture some stunning shots. There are features such as the lightning trigger, sound trigger, time lapse, Laser trigger that also offers a Multi-Shot option and various other features. The Multi Trigger from Nero uses a micro-controller to take the snapshots at the right moment and is compatible with a variety of SLR/DSLR models from both Nikon and Cannon. It functions using two AAA batteries and you also get a connector cable for the appropriate camera model on purchase.
You can buy various connector cables and use the same Multi Trigger for different cameras. It is available for $199 and if you are a shutterbug, then that truly is money well spent. There is also ‘Lightning trigger’ for those like me who want to match the professionals by capturing a few spectacular lightning shots. This one is same as the multi trigger, but has only the lighting trigger feature and is available for $117.
