The security of a PC consists of firewall effective, efficient anti-malware software, WPA and WEP codes and several other adjustments related to the software and applications. When the Remote Desktop is enabled, you should take extra precautions to minimize the possibility of infection from malware or hacking. If the technology in a software company can use your computer remotely, then anyone with the knowledge and ability to do so. To protect against bots and script kiddies, the RDP port must be changed.
Remote Desktop Protocol addresses remote desktop services through port 3389 by default. Any remote desktop connection is made through port 3389. This is the case for all users who are reading this, unless you've already changed the port. Basically, this means that this port is an easy target. Changing the RDP port, security is enhanced because the kiddies robots are designed to attack the port RDP, 3389.
For this to be truly effective, must implement an account lockout policy to be strong. This protects you against using the RDP protocol to obtain the administrator password. If the password is achievable due to the absence of an account lockout policy, the RDP port can be found no matter what has changed.

Hope the info helped you.
