Modder creates a magnificent replica of Lucas Oil Stadium in Lego!

We have harped about fascinating Lego case mods and robots. We have reiterated about wonderful Lego built rockets and spacecrafts, but how about building an intriguingly detailed replica of a gargantuan stadium? Now that is what we call 'preposterously magnificent' in its scale! Painstakingly created by 44 year old Brian Alano, the stupendously intricate model is inspired by the one and only Lucas Oil Stadium.

His audacious Lego fueled endeavor started more than three years ago, when he came to know about the equally ambitious proposal for multi-purpose sports arena (and the new home ground) of Indianapolis Colts. Furnished with state-of-the-art elements of kinetic architecture and steeped in gorgeous reddish-brown brick facade, the grand Lucas Oil Stadium did make many enthusiasts’ and fans’ hearts skip a beat. Well, our ingenious modder/designer was certainly one among them, and the end result is quite apparent.

When it boils down to solid figures, the exhaustive scope of the whole stadium is defined within a plastic replica of 5 sq ft area. According to our brave modder, he ordered around a whopping 30,000 Lego pieces. And beyond amazing numbers, it is the time period of 3 long years required for the outstanding process that is really awe-inspiring.

Finally, coming to the visual allure of the exalted project, the attention to details is quite breathtaking. The designer has nigh exactly covered those exquisite brick laden details with a gallery of fine windows and clerestory. But one's bewilderment can be really satiated when he sees the utter vivacity of the Lego crowd on in the inside, along with the players ready to make their move on the green field.

So, at the end of the day, we pay our heartfelt respect to Brian Alano for his impressive initiative and some sacrifices made (including social ones, surely!). And while we are at it, you can gleefully gawk at some of the images.
