Those who have had their fair share of slasher movies would know about the 'blood, gore and violent' nature of chainsaws, as abashedly projected in our pop culture. However, this time the brutality is brought right at your doorsteps by slingshot enthusiast Joerg Sprave. Our eccentric modder has taken things to a whole new DIY level by contriving a chainsaw from steak knives and a wooden contraption.

Dubbed as the 'Steaksaw', this ominously built device involves eight knives that are fixed in place by duct tapes in a wooden wheel, along a wooden plate. There is another wooden wheel at the lower end, and both of these wheels are held by a belt made out of sturdy rubber. The lower wheel is electrically connected to a battery powered drilling machine which is clamped to the aforementioned plate from the rear side. So, once the drill is activated, the lower wheel starts to rotate, thus also helping in rotating the upper wheel with the knives.
This motional pattern sort of insinuates a chainsaw action with projecting knives. However, the gory allure of the whole scope goes beyond just the violent action. In fact, this homemade contraption can easily cut through apples and beer cans, as shown in the video. Of course, as safety buffs, we can surely hope for some other hardy way to hold the knives instead of puny duct tapes.
