Why my mobile phone operating system is working too slow?

I have got no clue on this but from last one week my mobile phone OS is working very slowly. I had checked my mobile antivirus and that is updated and I had also performed a complete phone scan, but no virus found. I don’t want to restore my mobile phone as my all installed antivirus and data will be lost. So I want to ask this from you guys, what is the reason due to which my mobile phone OS is too slow? And what I need to do?

It is true that virus could make mobile operating system slow, but even if your mobile is free from virus, a mobile phone OS could become slow if you are running any resource intensive application. If you have installed many applications, then some of them could be doing some basic check when you start the phone as well at frequent intervals, especially if you have internet access in your mobile phone.

For example, all facebook apps frequently check online to update the status and keep the information up-to-date. In that case, the applications could take more resource and this in turn could make the mobile OS respond slow. In any case, the first solution you could try is to check the settings of all the applications that are installed in your mobile phone. Then, try to change the settings of unimportant applications to reduce frequent updates.

Then, the next solution is to take a back up and uninstall one application at a time and see what happens to the speed and response time of the mobile phone. If you don't find any change in the speed of the OS, then you can reinstall that application. This is far better than uninstalling all the applications and restoring your mobile to its original setting.

Also, if you have any application that uses graphics heavily, then that could reduce the speed of the phone. Apart, from this if your mobile is virus free then the only other cause is resource intensive application. Just try to find which application is consuming more resources and replace that application with a better one.
