Why Microsoft office 2010 icons are missing?

Don’t know that anyone of you have ever faced this problem or only I am not able to find Microsoft office 2010 icons. Today morning I switched on my system and what I see that ALL MS icons are replaced by the generic program and document icons, even from within the file menus within MS office. So I Tried restore, refresh icon cache, reinstall office, create new shortcuts manually, but nothing worked. Please suggest so that I can fix it?

Try using SFC /SCANNOW Command, system file checker to check that your files are okay. Then opt for a system restore to before the date that you started having trouble with your Icons. One other thing, do an uninstall, reboot, then reinstall. Have you performed a re-install and a system repair? Also, did you uninstall before the re-install? Or follow this: Close all folder windows that are currently open. Launch Task Manager using the CTRL+SHIFT+ESC key sequence, or by running taskmgr.exe. Right-click on the Explorer.exe process and select End Process. Press the end process button when asked for confirmation. From task manager, select New Task. Type CMD.EXE, and then click ok. In the Command Prompt window, type the commands one by one and press enter. In Task Manager, click file, select new task, then Run.Type explorer.exe and click ok.
