Try using SFC /SCANNOW Command, system file checker to check that your files are okay. Then opt for a system restore to before the date that you started having trouble with your Icons. One other thing, do an uninstall, reboot, then reinstall. Have you performed a re-install and a system repair? Also, did you uninstall before the re-install? Or follow this: Close all folder windows that are currently open. Launch Task Manager using the CTRL+SHIFT+ESC key sequence, or by running taskmgr.exe. Right-click on the Explorer.exe process and select End Process. Press the end process button when asked for confirmation. From task manager, select New Task. Type CMD.EXE, and then click ok.
