When you bring your laptop and mouse with you on the road, you never know if you use a Starbucks counter, a folding table, a hotel bed, or even a beach mat. The Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse with BlueTrack Technology works on virtually any surface, which makes taking your mouse with you on the road easier than ever.

Design

At 3.8 x 2.8 x 1.6 inches, the Mini Explorer is compact enough bag anywhere, especially with the kit that comes with the mouse. The small USB transceiver appears easily in the bottom of the mouse when not in use, and turns the device to save battery life.

The smooth surface and an ergonomic Explorer Mini fits perfectly into our right hand. The left side has a deep groove to comfortably accommodate our thumb, along with two skinny buttons, horizontal above the controls that act as Internet. A four-way scroll wheel and fine line separated from the left and right buttons, click, and the right side has another slot to wrap the ring finger and little finger around. The bottom of the mouse also lights up bright blue when in use.

Mobile versatility

Microsoft claims that the Mini Explorer can go anywhere thanks to its BlueTrack technology, which uses new algorithms, pixel architecture, optics, and blue to produce more accurate tracking as well as images of the surface more accurately. We tested the mouse on a variety of surfaces, including marble, granite, carpet, and a microfiber sofa, while it does not work well on glass or transparent plastic, monitoring remained stable in everything from one desktop to the canvas and linoleum . While the mouse is moved with greater accuracy in smooth surfaces, more monitoring of the aircraft was even harder on the nail.

Performance

The Explorer Mini buttons were very responsive, and side buttons are accessible without causing accidental click. The scroll wheel worked great: He moved quickly and easily.

While the mouse performs the basic functions without having to install the connection software on the USB transceiver and is ready to deploy the disk included offers some extras, such as the ability to program the buttons on the Mini Explorer to open different programs. It also includes services such as Windows Flip 3D, a one-touch tool to quickly switch between open applications. Some of the additional features available on the disk, like a game of leverage, Instant Viewer, and Macro Editor, are useful but not entirely necessary.
