McIntosh launches McAire personal music system with AirPlay

McIntosh, the famed high-end audio specialist has recently unveiled an AirPlay wireless technology-enabled personal music system called McAire. The free-standing audio system connects to an existing home network to stream music from an iDevice and access audio files from an iTunes library. The AirPlay compatibility allows the system to be synced with first, second and third gen iPads, iPhone 3GS or higher end 3rd and 4th gen iPod touch though it can also connect to 5th and 6th gen iPod nano and Classic with a USB connector as well.

To provide a walk-through continuous multi-room playback experience, multiple McAire systems can also be connected and synced to ensure that your music follows you through a house. The McIntosh McAire personal music system offers hi-fidelity room-filling sound with the help of two dome tweeters measuring 0.75-inches, two inverted dome midrange drivers measuring 2-inches and twp dual acoustic porting-laden woofers measuring 4-inches. The integrated audio system offers connectivity to Apple AirPlay technology, Wi-Fi networks and Ethernet as provides stereo RCA auxiliary inputs and USB charging of iDevices as well.

The McIntosh McAire comes with a magnetic attachment-fitted knit cloth grille, glass faceplate, blue output meters and a high gloss black finish to match the high performance components inside. The McIntosh McAire personal music system has been set to retail at a suggested retail price of $3,000 and is currently available via authorized McIntosh dealers.
