How to upgrade mac-book pro processor ?

I have a macbook Pro that I bought in last summer which is running on OS X. It has a low configuration and have a low Core 2 duo 2.6ghz processor so I want to upgrade it with something larger processor. So I was wondering if any processor upgrades will be compatible with my motherboard and how can I find a processor that will be compatible? If someone has any experience with this please share with me also

A core 2 duo2.6 ghz is quite a old model and there are indeed many newer versions available at the market. But as a macbook Pro is concerned these machines comes without screws and are glued. And when it comes to the processors they come soldered to the motherboard unlike other machines that comes with a socket (including most of the notebooks), so it is practically impossible to remove it and replace it with another new updated processor.

So the only way to have an upgraded processor is that you have to buy a new macbook with the new upgraded processor and features. Many consider this as a tactic to make the users to buy a new machine one the other one is outdated. But practically speaking removing an old processor from a macbook and reaplacing it with a new processor is impossible. You can better opt for a most advanced version of the macbooks and try using them, there might be some advices (not from Apple) about removing the processor and having it replaced. But that might create newer troubles. The better advice would be to buy a new macbook.
