Logitech harmony remote problem?

Your PC needs a consumer IR receiver to work with a remote. Buy an MCE remote that comes with a USB IR . Then pick the appropriate model from the database. Plug in the dongle, aim your harmony at it, and it should work. If it doesn't, then learn all the commands from the MCE remote. Search "MCE remote" on this site for more specific info. It seems that there are several cases of this issue occurring. It may have something to do with the Java that is running on your Mac. I have posted the recommended troubleshooting steps below. Step-1 Click on Finder

Step-2 On the left pane selects Applications. Scroll down to Utilities.

Step-3 Select Java

Step-4 Open Java Preferences

Step-5 under Java Version, ensure J2SE 5.0 is selected.

Step-6 under Java Application Runtime Settings, ensure J2SE 5.0 is at the top of the list.

Step-7 Click save. Try launching the software.
