The Extreme Duty Pen is, in fact, a writing instrument version of Kubotan, a keychain-shaped self defense weapon previously developed by Takayuki. Kubotan has been introduced as a rough self-defense tool that police officers can use to tackle violence in streets. Its pen version comes as a personal self-defense tool, instead. Like all stealth weapons, the Extreme Duty Pen also conceals its lethal capabilities under the wrapper of a pen, which thus becomes a utilitarian weapon, indeed.

The self-defense tool is made of state-of-the-art CNC and CAD_CAM technology. Its intelligently placed traction grooves ensure a solid grip while using the pen in a CQB mode. You can take any level of punishment using the pen thanks to its overbuilt hardiness. The pen rocks coarse threads that make it an extra potent weapon for hard strikes and punishments.

The Extreme Duty Pen further features a modular design, meaning that users can add a multitude of additional attachments to make it a far stealthy tool for self-defense and riot controlling. For the writing part, the pen deploys Fisher Space Pen full size refills. The pen comes up in a Pelican 1020 waterproof case with 550 para cord and it is also available in a variety of finishes.
