How would you fix a laptop- battery which lasts barely for 2 hours?

Two days ago I bought this Toshiba Satellite laptop from Best Buy as a birthday gift for my wife. I bought it for just $400 which seemed really cheap to me. Everything in it works except the battery. The battery barely makes it even 2 hours even when I use it on power saver mode. It doesn't really sound good for me as it has just been 14 days old. Things doesn't seem to be to good in it. Is it a serious problem which cannot be sorted out. Should I return it or there is a way to get this problem fixed. Please help.

We can travel anywhere in the world and work on the laptop with us. However, despite the benefits, its weakness lies with the battery as it has a short life and lasts only few hours. Let us find out how to optimize its energy and give long life to the battery of your laptop.

To learn a little more, the capacity of a battery depends on two factors: the number of cells and the material it is made. The user is in the battery market from 4 to 12 cells. The more cells, the greater the weight, but at the same time, the greater its duration.

About 95% of the batteries found in the notebook market are made of lithium ions, are more compact and less aggressive to the environment. Ideally, the user changes the notebook's battery every two years, as they have a limited life.

Until one day when I was planning to buy a new battery, I decided to try it. These are the steps I took:

Charge the battery at 50%

Insert the battery in a Ziploc bag (I got into 5 sealed bags to avoid any problems, paranoid? Yes, very much xD)

Leaving the battery in the freezer for 3 days

Remove the battery from the freezer and keep it in a cool dry place for 1 day.

Make a full charge, full discharge and full charge.

Hope the info will prove useful to you.
