Kinect 2 about to impress gaming enthusiasts with its advanced speed and mood sensing attributes!

While we are witnessing the rampant progression of video gaming attributes, it still comes as as a pleasant surprise that this ever thriving industry is ready to score revenues of over a whopping $50 billion by 2012. Over the years, games have advanced beyond their graphical, artistic as well as realistic scope. But in our opinion, this fascinating journey to its zenith level is also helped by the fact that there has been some innovative and technologically deft gaming peripherals to go with it.

The one system that does stand out in this respect is certainly Microsoft's Kinect mechanism (for Xbox 360). Who can possibly deny the fervent novelty of a gaming device (along with its multitude of hacks), which allows you to control and interact with your console without touching anything? And if you thought that was smart, now hear this out - Microsoft is ready to launch their Kinect 2 version, which would be capable of lip reading and mood sensing!

The intrinsic mechanism of the original Kinect (debuting in 2010) dictated the utilization of the 'natural' user interface, which responded to normal gestures and even spoken commands on the part of the gamer. This nigh momentous technological leap had a significant impression on console gamers; as is quite evident from its featuring in other fields (ranging from displays to robotics) by a myriad of hacks. Now, the Kinect 2 is about to enter the commercial fray with even more advanced attributes. According to the info available to Eurogamer, this newest iteration of the motion sensing mechanism will be substantially more accurate than its predecessor. In simpler terms, this would ingeniously be capable of reading our slightest whispers and even comprehending our personal behavioral mood.

Coming to the bigger picture, the progressive attributes of Kinect 2 would not just be limited to its own scope. In other words, most of us gaming enthusiasts have heard about the rumors of the next version of Xbox (sometimes coined as Xbox 720 or Loop). Now, according to the latest development, the Kinect 2 has every chance to be an integral part of this next generation console system (unlike Xbox 360 and Kinect, which were 5 years apart in their respective launching), which is expected to debut by 2013.

Other than the integration feature, there are supposedly more improvements that could be better explained by drawing out a comparison attribute. In the original Kinect, when connected to the Xbox 360 console, the data transfer rate was confined to just 16MB/s (via a USB connection). This resulted in the limitation of the device display, like 30 frames per second or giving an output of just 320 x 240 pixels resolution. But with a speedier connection of Kinect 2, the frame rates can jump up to 60 fps, with the resolution also increasing exponentially.

So, at the end of the day, Kinect 2 is expected to accentuate upon the already advanced state of user interaction with adroit attributes of accuracy and speed. As for us fanboys, we would keep our fingers crossed until the unveiling of the new Xbox system in 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo.
